In New York, ‘customer success’ specialist Catalyst has raised $25m in a Series B round of funding, which it will use to ‘heavily invest’ in its software platform.
Founded by brothers Edward Chiu (CEO) and Kevin Chiu (COO), Catalyst offers automated tools to handle customer segmentation, lifecycle management, product usage analysis, reporting and analytics, and workflow productivity for businesses looking to make ‘customer success’ a company-wide mission. Catalyst says the function of customer success is the responsibility of every single department, and that in order to ensure this happens, companies must look at a consistent set of data across the organization to assess customer engagement.
New funding has been led by Spark Capital, and brings Catalyst’s total to $45.5m since launching two years ago. Chiu comments: ‘While we were not seeking new capital, we have been humbled by the investor excitement about our business, leading us to add Spark Capital to the Catalyst family’.
